Beyond the Rainbow: Inspo for Pride 2023

Hey #NeonFam welcome back to Neon Words! This June we are all about Pride and celebrating diversity, which is so important to us as a brand, but also to us as a species. While we’ve made a lot of progress towards acceptance in the past few years, we still have a long way to go. The LGBTQ+ community continues to face discrimination on a daily basis worldwide. It’s tough knowing that many of our friends, business associates, customers and members of the beauty community have to face these hardships just because of who they are and how they identify themselves. Since we are a conscious beauty company we want to make it very clear that we support the LGBTQ+ community and will always do so.

So this month to get us started on the celebrations we created a set of makeup looks wearing the cult-favorite Hola Neon Velvet Liquid Lipsticks inspired by a few flags that represent specific sections of the LGBTQ+ community. We hope you find some new inspo in these looks and that you get to celebrate as loud and colorful as you want to!

For this look paying homage to the Bisexual Flag Jules used shades of light pink and blue on the eyes overlapped by a light purple, and Party Pop a metallic pink all over lips.

For this look inspired by the Lesbian Flag Jules used shades of deep and light pink as well as orange on eyes and cheeks and her velvet liquid lipstick in shade Exotic & Foreign an orange shade that dries completely matte.

For this look inspired by the Non-Binary Flag Jules applied Winter is Coming on the lips, a deeper shade of maroon eyeshadow and yellow eyeliner and mascara. 

This look inspired by the Trans Flag Jules used eyeshadow in baby blue & baby pink with a bit of glittery white on the inner corners and a neutral lip in shade DF.
